Canberra Aerotow 2021 " It is on again"

Location: Willie Emmett Flying Field The field is on Naas Road, just south of Tharwa, which is a small township just south of Canberra. Find your way to the Canberra suburb of Banks. Continue south on Tharwa Drive. At Tharwa, continue south on Naas Road. Willie Emmett Flying Field of the NAAS club is 9.5km from Tharwa Bridge.

Event Description

Come and join in or learn to fly from experienced pilots, bring your gliders and experience the fun of being towed up to our CASA approved ceiling of 1800 ft AGL with a large scale Tow aircraft. The landing field is very large and flat with no obstructions and surrounded by thermal and slop lift generating hills and mountains.

We have run this very successful event several times at this perfect location.

Menu

Fine food will be available from our Kitchen all weekend.

Friday Night Dinner will be served around 7:00 pm with welcoming snacks from 6:00pm

Saturday Night Dinner Roast dinner cooked in our ovens followed by Dessert.

Breakfast each morning will be from a range of cooked items including egg and bacon, tomato, sausages and maybe even the odd pancake.

Lunch each day will be available and will include sausage and steak sandwiches including salad and a range of other items. 

Facilities.

Toilets and a hot shower facilities are available at the field.

Camping at $15.00 night is highly recommended and it make for a much more relaxing experience.

On a clear night the sky is amazing 

We have plenty of undercover and shelter area if the weather turns unkind.

We have solar off grid power and generator back up.
